A rally and militant procession of peasants and peasant women organized jointly by Bangladesh Krishok Federation and Bangladesh Kishani Sabha  to place in Birol Thana in the district of Dinajpur on 23 May 1999. At the rally a memorandum containing different demands were put forward to the Prime Minister thorough Thana Nirbahi Officer(TNO). The memorandum included employment for the working people, food supply to vulnerable, Khasland settlement among the landless, reducing the price of daily essentials, exemption of all kinds of agricultural loans, halt to the encroachment of Hindu graveyard, forced encroachment of the land property of indigenous in name aforestation and enemy property stoppage of the violence on women.
